THE TASTE (featuring Rory Gallagher) - Morning Sun
A groovy Rock-composition of the early Rory when he still was with
Taste. The song (Texts of songs ) was released on their second Album "On the Boards".
Several live-recordings, so on "Live at the Isle of Wight" or on the
bootleg "the Irish werewolf" document Rorys liking of this energetic
and, due to his sudden changes of metrum and dynamic, surprising track.
I transcribed the Main riff, which is also underlaying the verses and
the bridge part.
Rory probably used the neck-pickup of his old Stratocaster and sure
a lot of distortion to play this song (Texts of songs ). The solo he played with a highly
rated compressor. The clean sound of the bridge part you should control
with your guitar-volume combined with a slight stroke.
